Hello darlings! All week long I’ve been day dreaming about Paris Fashion Week and all the magical runway shows. You can see the highlights and shows from PFW here. If I could pick up my life and move anywhere, it would be Paris. Speaking of travel, in less than 5 days we’re going on a road trip to Vienna. We will be stopping in a few cities along the way so stay tuned to see where we go first!
I wore this romantic look a couple weeks ago while exploring this darling pink baroque palace in Düsseldorf. I wanted to create a look that embodies modern femininity. So if you’re looking for some style inspiration or wondering how to style metallic pieces into your everyday life then keep on reading…

STYLE WITH NEUTRALS
Style your metallic piece around a neutral color palette. A great pair of metallic statement pants or a gold pleated skirt won’t look so flashy when paired with a cozy knit, ivory coat or a simple white collared blouse. Complete your look with some neutral mules or kitten heels. I chose to wear my favorite nude Valentino’s for a glamorous touch—who doesn’t love a little glam?
The beauty of metallic is to play with high-brilliance fabrics and light. Pick a color that matches your skin tone and layer a light, rose gold piece under a white coat for a sophisticated winter look. wearing separates of one color that have different textures and/or similar shades of that color for an overall tonal look. Monochromatic looks can sometimes feel like too much. Try pairing a shimmering slip dress with a simple pair of nude sandals for a romantic date night look.
When it comes to styling metallic pieces into our everyday outfits, we tend to gravitate towards bags or shoes. Shiny accessories can jazz up your look without being overwhelming. Try wearing tailored crop trousers with a pair of silver heels for a super polished take on your work uniform. Reach for a bag with pretty, gold hardware to make a classy statement.
Thank you so much for visiting! Celebrate your inner sparkle with metallics this spring!
